Did You Know?
Every Bunbury Board is traceable back to its source, thanks to the Lisnavagh Timber Project’s unique traceability system. With the click of a mouse, you can access your board's full traceability report, which usually has a photograph of the tree that the wood came from and explains where the tree grew, why it came down, and what was done to replace it. Of course, every plank is from an Irish-grown tree. Nothing is imported.
About the Artists
William Bunbury, who owns Lisnavagh Estate in Rathvilly, County Carlow, Ireland, was searching for a way to breathe new life into his 300-year-old family estate. In 2001, he created the Lisnavagh Timber Project to make use of the fallen and dead timber on his family farm, and Bunbury Boards were launched in the autumn of 2008. Under William's direction, these simple but elegant boards are designed and handcrafted by a small team of local craftsmen at Lisnavagh Estate in the heart of Ireland.
